Spin-wave spectroscopy
- Micro-focused Brillouin light scattering microscopy and spectroscopy (BLS)
- Vector Network Analyzer with a probe station
- for characterization of magnetic properties (VNA-FMR) and spin waves (propagating spin-wave spectroscopy – PSWS)
- may be combined with Cryogenic Ltd. CFMS cryostat for low-temperature microwave measurements (VNA-FMR, PSWS, superconducting resonator characterization, ...)
Ultrafast setup
Ultrafast (pump-probe) magneto-optical setup - in development
Magnetic microscopies
- Kerr microscope (evico magnetics)
- Magnetic Force Microscopy (variable temperature, in-field measurements in moderate field)
- High Vacuum hr-AFM/MFM NanoScan VLS-80 (air or <5e-6mbar; IP field <200mT, OOP field <550mT)
- Scanning Electron Microscopy with Polarization Analysis (SEMPA, also with in-situ transport measurements)
- (S)TEM with Lorentz mode (also DPC imaging; EELS - EMCD/EMLD possible)
Magnetotransport and Magnetometry
- Cryogenic VSM, VersaLab VSM (Magnetometry + magnetotransport)
- VSM SQUID - to be installed in 2026
- Setups for electrical and magnetoresistance measurements. Variable temperature, field.
CF Nano Research Infrastructure
Within CEITEC CF Nano Research Infrastructure we have access also to nanofabrication techniques (e-beam, optical, and laser lithography; various etching and deposition machines), chemical and structural analysis including:
- Scanning Auger Microscopy
- LEEM and other UHV characterization and deposition techniques
- X-ray Diffraction (XRD)
